Cedar siding inside corners.
With corner boards there is the choice of applying them next to the siding or over top of the siding as shown here.
Kiln dried pine or air dried western red cedar.
8 10 12 lengths.
Always apply primer or stain end cuts.
2 1 4 x 2 1 4 or 3 x 3 square inside corner.
Use overlapping 1x4s or 1x6s at outside corners or use 5 4 stock for a heavier look.
Available smooth or hewn.
As in the above illustration at inside corners siding is frequently butted against a 2 x 2 trim strip.
Use a square length of 5 4 stock at inside corners with a spline underneath.
Blend traditional lap siding seamlessly around every bend with vinyl carpentry corner systems or with cedar impressions shakes and shingles with matching inside and outside mitered corners.
It s important to note that working toward the inside corner means the last shingle in the row will likely need a precision size width cut as well as a scribe cut.
For inside corners i like to start at the corner itself and work the row outward from there.
